So, I got bored again at work during lunch and break again today. Armed with Acid, my external hd, and a hankering need to amuse myself and those around me, I began creating another absolutely amazing mash up of a stupid acapella track with a random instrumental song. The victims this time aren't too harsh...

God I need new hobbies...
Man, I can't believe 2006 is already more than half over. When did that happen...? Time moves too weirdly fast... it's hard to believe summer's already almost over.
Gary's party this past weekend was fun times. Jason dropped a hot set... I'd never really seen/heard hardhouse spun in person before, and I was pretty intrigued and into it. I had a good time spinning too. I wasn't really sure what to expect, it being my first time in front of more than 2 people (hahaha), but I just let it go and... it went. Fun times. =p
I dunno what else to post really... so... MEDIA SPAM GOGOGO!
- This one's still unreleased... only out on white labels. You'll recognize it if you were at Gary's party... I dropped it once or twice. I'm softening up to hip-hop more and more nowadays from all of the dnb cross-integration... I still think a lot of it's absolutely retarded, but I'm starting to find a side of it that's appealing. This is probably my top rated dnb remix of any hiphop to date, production-wise; Verse's bassline samples are simplistically unique, and a good refresher after all of the heavy hitters with their overly mutated basses...
- Brand new trance release from Mike Shiver up next. Already being touted as tune of the year 2006, people are obsessing over it, to say the least. It's beautiful, but I won't exactly call it TOTY... it's not exactly... unique. Each outstanding element of the song can be traced back to previous releases within the year. Still an amazing tune, but I'll reserve my TOTY judgment until something comes along and blows me away. (HURRY UP VADIM)
- Here's a gem I completely missed from DistorteD. I guess it's to be expected since I didn't exactly care about DD's music (save for a single-digit amount of songs) until the OST came out. It might as well be my favorite Mr.T song to date; he basically combined the DLO style with electroshock to produce some sort of belligerently infectious sound... I wonder if there's a full production on some album or something somewhere. It desperately needs one...
And I end this post with another video from that one-day Six Flags Magic Mountain trip a couple of weeks ago: a full on-board video of Goliath. SOOOOOO GOOD. That first drop... amazing... hahaha, I put the camera down for a second during the second drop so the on-ride photo picture didn't show up with me shoving my own camera in it's face, possibly getting me kicked out of the park. ;D ENJOY!
So, as I do most every weekend, I got incredibly bored on Sunday. In addition to finishing the mix I've been talking mentioning the last couple of weeks, I got fed up with listening to the stupidly SHORT game version rip of Go Berzerk! from IIDX RED CS. So I kinda made my own long version. [I must note that it indeed has a full version, but was made in the ancient era of 1993 and sounds like turdwaste]
It's not exactly... good. But I like listening to it just so I don't have to keep repeating it constantly. I know lots of other people like it, so... why not share!
And wow, listening to this now kinda makes me realize how amazing IIDX really is, musically. I'd probably NEVER listen to this song outside of IIDX if it wasn't in the game. But it's so freakin' fun to play, quote and make fun of that it never gets out of your head... crazy.
I think it's time for sleep...
