After the barrage of IM's, messages and verbal DOH's given to me yesterday concerning JayKay (of Jamiroquai) "quitting music", I feel obligated to relay the truthful info I found yesterday evening on the matter -
OK, so there is a story in today’s Mirror implying Jay is quitting the music business: Needless to say they’ve got it completely wrong! You see, in a quick chat with one of the paper’s journalists following his record breaking Gig in the Sky yesterday, Jay mentioned he was taking time out to update his home studio and take some time off before the band go back in to start writing a new album later in the year. He also talked about working on new arrangements of songs so next time they go out on tour they have fresh take on the tracks they play live perhaps incorporating strings or horns. Perhaps they should listen next time! When they gonna learn? On seeing the way his chat was reported today in the Mirror Jay said “As usual they got it wrong for a cheap headline! All I said was that we’re taking a bit of time out to get the studio refurbished and we’ll be back making music in a few months time. There’s no way I’m quitting the music business - now I am out of my long contract with SonyBMG we have so many options open to us we’re just going to take our time and get it right - its just getting interesting!”

Scared, need not be you.
Whilst searching for vinyl on my main dig dancerecords.com, I decided to take a look any see if and new Jamiroquai plates had been restocked.
My eyes widen at the results. Atop the list is an apparent forthcoming release (without a label?) titled "The Way It Should Feel", dated for February 7th. AWESOME!
But... huh? I hadn't heard of any more singles coming out so soon after Runaway/Radio... so I do some research. Official website, nothing. Funkin.com, nothing. Google "the way it should feel" jamiroquai, nothing except for dancerecords.com.
...
Color me confused! Could dancerecords have leaked the new single? But... Feb 7th, I mean, SOMEONE should know about it already. Am I missing something...?
Audio: Share a great love song.
Being the moron I most commonly am, I attempted to find a drum'n'bass song for this question. More than a minute of searching, and I finally find one.
One. In a whole minute.
Maybe that's why I like it so much!
...But in general, and echoing basically anyone who's answered this question, there are absolutely way too many to share. WAY too many good ones. Deciding on one is retardedly hard. So here's a random one. It actually used to be my favorite Jamiroquai song for an insanely long time, but wore off over time. I think Seven Days In Sunny June or Planet Home takes the cake nowadays.
MAN I am so obsessed with this song right now...
Insomnia is costing me. Like, really. I've come to the realization that I should never be left to browse online record stores, period, because... well, nights like this happen, and I just happen to stumble upon AMAZING plates that I absolutely believe I cannot live without any longer. Like a bootleg remix of Starchild that almost sounds better than the original. Seriously. How can you expect me NOT to insta-buy something like that???
All is not lost though, as luckily most of the records were either price-slashed or are so old that they're half-off due to age anyways. Damage, within sensibility, was achieved.
Need to find something to get rid of the insomniaaaaa. New music or something. Mussst findd new sleep tunage.
Getting rid of stuff would probably help too.
I missed the 'favorite cover' qotd. I, for one, am absolutely ashamed of myself.
So here we go.
babadaba baaadabada... babadaba - BAADAABOP
If you're human and you have ears, there's absolutely no way on God's green earth you can sit there, watch this and NOT sing along, or even bop, groove, jump up and dance, FUNKNOTIZE YOSELF, or whatever it is you do to good music. SO GOOD.
